About this Plugin

Removes the WordPress emoji compatibility layer — the detection JavaScript, inline CSS, TinyMCE plugin, dns-prefetch link tag pointing to s.w.org, and RSS/email static image conversion. All modern browsers render emoji natively, so this script is dead weight for most sites. Each component can be toggled independently.

Installation

1. Download the plugin ZIP file using the button on this page.
2. Go to WordPress Admin → Plugins → Add New.
3. Click Upload Plugin and select the downloaded ZIP.
4. Click Install Now then Activate Plugin.
