About this Plugin

A Gutenberg block where the editor pastes any URL to automatically generate a rich link preview card — showing the page title, description, thumbnail image, site name, and favicon. Metadata is fetched server-side via the WordPress HTTP API using Open Graph and standard meta tags. Results are cached with transients to avoid repeated requests. Renders as a clickable card on the frontend.

Installation

  1. Download the plugin ZIP file using the button on this page.
  2. Go to WordPress Admin → Plugins → Add New.
  3. Click Upload Plugin and select the downloaded ZIP.
  4. Click Install Now then Activate Plugin.
