About this Plugin

Robots.txt Editor gives administrators full control over the WordPress virtual robots.txt file without requiring FTP access or a physical file on disk. Custom content is stored in the addlc_rte_content option and served via WordPress's robots_txt filter. A monospace textarea in Settings > Robots.txt Editor lets you edit the file with a live preview link, a save button, and a one-click reset to WordPress defaults.

Installation

  1. Download the plugin ZIP file using the button on this page.
  2. Go to WordPress Admin → Plugins → Add New.
  3. Click Upload Plugin and select the downloaded ZIP.
  4. Click Install Now then Activate Plugin.
