Content Upgrade lets you create inline opt-in boxes that offer downloadable resources — PDFs, checklists, templates, cheat sheets — in exchange for an email address. Each upgrade box is a custom post type entry with its own title, description, thumbnail image, download file URL, button label, and email template. When a visitor submits their email address, the plugin stores the lead in a custom DB table and sends an automated email containing the download link. Boxes are embedded anywhere in WordPress content using a simple shortcode.
