About this Plugin

Adds an "Email this article" button that opens the visitor's default email client via a mailto: link prefilled with a customisable subject and body. No SMTP, no server call, no third-party service — just a standard HTML link. The subject and body support template tokens for the post title, URL, site name, and excerpt.

Installation

  1. Download the plugin ZIP file using the button on this page.
  2. Go to WordPress Admin → Plugins → Add New.
  3. Click Upload Plugin and select the downloaded ZIP.
