About this Plugin

Maintenance Mode serves a fully customisable maintenance / coming-soon HTML page to all non-logged-in visitors while the site is being built or updated. Logged-in administrators see the real site normally. The plugin returns a proper HTTP 503 status with Retry-After: 3600 so search engines know to come back later, and optionally shows a live countdown timer to a target launch date.

Installation

  1. Download the plugin ZIP file using the button on this page.
  2. Go to WordPress Admin → Plugins → Add New.
  3. Click Upload Plugin and select the downloaded ZIP.
  4. Click Install Now then Activate Plugin.
