About this Plugin

Adds a text-to-speech Listen / Pause / Stop toolbar to post content using the browser's native `SpeechSynthesis` API — no external service, no API key, and no privacy risk. The toolbar can be auto-inserted before or after the content, or placed precisely with the `[read_aloud]` shortcode. Speech rate, pitch, and volume are configurable. On unsupported browsers, a graceful notice is shown instead.

Installation

  1. Download the plugin ZIP file using the button on this page.
  2. Go to WordPress Admin → Plugins → Add New.
  3. Click Upload Plugin and select the downloaded ZIP.
  4. Click Install Now then Activate Plugin.
